Yuzu lets you send postcards to friends. Yuzu is made by Modern Sapience Pte. Ltd. This page says what we keep to do that, and nothing else. We don’t show ads, we don’t sell anything about you, and we don’t track you across other apps or websites.
What we keep
- Your postcards. The photo or short video on the front, the back with your words, and the names you write on it. They’re stored so the people you send them to can see them.
- The name you give yourself, which friends see on your postcards.
- Who your friends are in Yuzu, and anyone you’ve blocked.
- An anonymous account for your phone. Yuzu doesn’t ask for your email or phone number. Your phone gets a random key that keeps your postcards and friends together.
- A widget token from Apple, so a postcard can reach your home screen widget seconds after it’s sent.
- Reports you make: which postcard, the reason, and anything you wrote with it.
- A one-way code made from your network address, kept for a day, to stop one network creating too many accounts. We can’t turn it back into the address.
Postcard links
When you share a postcard as a link, anyone with that link can see that postcard. Links are long and random, so they can’t be guessed, but a link you post publicly is public.
yuzu.cards
The website counts visits and taps on “Get Yuzu” as daily totals per page. It uses no cookies and keeps nothing about individual visitors.
Where it’s kept
Postcards and account data are stored with Cloudflare, in the United States. Widget updates go through Apple’s push service. We use these services only to run Yuzu, and they handle your data under their own privacy commitments, which protect it at least as well as this page does.
Photos are delivered through Cloudflare’s network, which checks them against known child sexual abuse images. Matches are blocked, and we report them to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children.
How long we keep it
Your postcards and friends stay until you delete them. When you report a postcard we keep the report, and we keep a reported postcard’s files privately for as long as the law asks us to (for example, to report child abuse material). Daily visit counts on yuzu.cards have no personal information in them and are kept as totals.
Deleting
You can delete a postcard you sent from its ••• menu: it disappears for everyone. To delete everything — your postcards, your friends list and your Yuzu identity — open Settings in Yuzu and tap Delete my Yuzu data. It happens straight away and can’t be undone. Deleting Yuzu from your phone doesn’t delete what’s on our side, so use Settings first. If you no longer have the app, write to support@yuzu.cards.
Children
Yuzu isn’t meant for children under 13.
